"Is subleasing permitted?" — confirming approval for your property
When your property is submitted to Zi-Find by someone other than you, we check with you directly before relying on it. You'll get a short email asking one question: do you permit this property to be sublet on a short-term and mid-term basis? Answering takes one click, and you don't need an account.
Why you got this email
Zi-Find is a marketplace for sublease-approved properties. A property can reach us through a contributor who spoke with you, or through someone submitting it on your behalf. Before operators rely on it, we ask the owner. The subject line reads Quick question about followed by your address.
We ask about short-term and mid-term specifically, rather than "subleasing" in general, because leases often treat them differently and we don't want to record something vaguer than what you mean.
How to answer
- Press Answer this question in the email. It opens a page showing the property. Opening it records nothing.
- Press Yes, subleasing is permitted or No, it is not. Both answers are one click.
| Your answer | What happens |
|---|---|
| Yes, subleasing is permitted | We record that short- and mid-term subleasing is permitted, with the date you answered. Nothing else is needed from you. |
| No, it is not | We record that subleasing is not permitted and take the property off the marketplace immediately. Nobody will be shown it. |
If you said No by mistake, reply to the email that brought you here and a person will help.
Reminders
If you haven't answered, we send at most two reminders — around 3 days and 7 days after the first email — then stop. The request stays open for 30 days. After that the link shows This link has expired.
What a Yes does and doesn't mean
A Yes is recorded against the listing as the owner's confirmation, given by email. It does not sign a lease, commit you to any tenant, or replace a written lease agreement. Any lease and its terms are between you and the operator you choose. Zi-Find takes no part in it and no share of rent.
Good to know
- If the property isn't yours, or you weren't expecting this, reply to the email. Telling us is genuinely useful.
- If you submitted the property through a contributor's link yourself, this question arrives inside your welcome email (subject Confirm you're open to subleasing) rather than separately.
- You can't confirm on someone else's behalf, and a contributor can't confirm their own submission — the answer has to come from the owner's inbox.
I already answered. Why does the page say "Already answered"?
Your answer is on file and nothing further is needed.
