Claiming and securing a property bounty
A bounty is a specific property an operator wants sublease-approved. On Opportunities, the Operator submissions lane lists them. You press Claim to start working one, then secure it by being the first finder to submit the property with the owner's details. Claiming is free and open, so other finders may be working the same property.
Two kinds of bounty
- Paid by Zi-Find — Zi-Find pays the posted rate shown on the card. Open to every finder: No credit, no Pro. You get a longer window to work it, and you can hold a limited number at once.
- Operator-funded — the card shows Budget · Finder fee (or All-in). Claiming needs Finder Pro; free accounts see these as a preview with Unlock with Finder Pro.
Claim a bounty
- Open Opportunities and stay on the Operator submissions lane.
- Browse All bounties. Sort by Most recent, Highest fee or Location. Each card shows the area, beds, baths, square feet and asking rent, and a band showing roughly how many finders are already on it.
- Press Claim. The card flips to show the address and a link to the source listing.
- Press Track this deal to open the deal page, where everything else happens.
Claimed bounties stay under My bounties.
How long a claim lasts
- An operator-funded claim holds for 24 hours. Log real progress — reached the owner, waiting on a callback — and it holds a day longer, once. The deal page shows Log progress · +24h while the extension is available.
- A Paid by Zi-Find claim holds for several days without progress, because these are where people learn the job.
When a claim runs out it goes back to the network. You can claim it again if it is still open.
Secure the property
Securing is what wins the bounty.
- On the deal page, fill in the property address, the owner or contact name, the owner email if you have it, notes on terms and the owner's posture, and the listing link.
- Press Secure it — closes this bounty to other finders.
- If you were first, the bounty closes to everyone else. If another finder got there first, you'll see Another finder secured this one.
The operator then reviews it: Yes — this one fits, or they send it back to the network with a note on what missed.
If you hit the limit
If you are already holding the maximum number of Paid by Zi-Find claims, the app says how many you are working. Finish one, or drop one, and it opens straight back up. See Bounty updates, status marks and dropping a claim.
Good to know
- The operator who posted a bounty never sees your name. Your work shows to them as "the Zi-Find network".
- If the operator withdraws the property, your card says so: The operator withdrew this one.
- Payment is flat and never tied to a lease being signed. Zi-Find never takes a cut of a finder fee.
Can I claim a bounty without Finder Pro?
Yes — anything marked Paid by Zi-Find is open to every finder.
