How to list a lease transfer on Zi-Find

2 min read · Updated 2026-10-19

A lease transfer listing is for a lease you hold on a sublease-approved property — often a running Airbnb or mid-term unit — that you want another operator to take over. You create it from My Listings by choosing A lease I'm transferring. Lease transfer listings need Finder Pro ($97/month) or higher.

Before you start

  • Make sure your lease and the owner's approval allow the lease to be handed over or subleased to someone else. Zi-Find does not give legal advice — read your lease, and check with the owner and a licensed professional.
  • Have your live listing link ready (Airbnb or wherever the unit is listed). Operators want to see the live unit before they reach out.

Steps

  1. Open My Listings and press New listing.
  2. On Listing Type, choose A lease I'm transferring.
    • On the free plan this opens the Finder Pro upgrade. After checkout you return straight to the wizard with lease transfer already selected.
  3. Address — enter the property address.
  4. Property Details — property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, Monthly rent and a description. Add your Airbnb link in Live listing link so operators can preview the unit.
  5. Photos — up to 24; the first is the cover.
  6. Documents — link to the approval documentation and tick the approval confirmation.
  7. Review & Submit — choose whether the street address is hidden (recommended) or shown, then submit.

If you submit without a live link, the app asks once whether you want to add one. You can Continue without it.

Your listing goes live on the marketplace as soon as it is submitted, labelled as a lease transfer.

Setting a transfer fee

After the listing exists, open it from My Listings and choose Edit. Lease transfer listings have a Transfer fee ($) field for any amount you are asking the incoming operator to pay you. That fee is between you and them — it is arranged directly and never passes through Zi-Find.

Good to know

  • A lease transfer counts toward your listing limit like any other listing (up to 7 posted at a time on Finder Pro, unlimited on Finder Pro+).
  • When the lease has changed hands, take the listing down so operators stop reaching out. See Editing, removing and relisting.
  • Owners can only post owner-direct listings. If you are an owner who also transfers leases, you need the Finder role for this listing type.

Why is a lease transfer a paid listing?

Transfers are usually one-time deals with a lot riding on them, so they sit on Finder Pro alongside contact sharing in messages — which you will want when an operator is ready to take over.
