The notification bell and your activity feed
The bell in the top bar of the app is your in-app notification feed. A number on it shows how many notifications you have not read yet. Click it to see the latest ones, open any of them, or jump to your full activity.
Using the bell
- Click the bell in the top bar. A panel opens with your most recent notifications. Unread ones are marked with a gold dot.
- Click a notification to open the page it is about. Opening it marks it as read.
- Click Mark all read to clear the count in one go.
- Click View all activity to open the full notifications page, with your whole history.
When there is nothing new, the panel says "You're all caught up". Press Escape or click outside the panel to close it.
What rings the bell
The bell is used for events that matter to your role. Depending on what you do on Zi-Find, that can include:
- Operators: activity on a property you submitted for the network to work, for example an owner replying or approving it in writing.
- Finders: an operator accepting the agreement on a property you routed to them.
- Finders on Pro+: a client email that was held back because your own sending service is not connected yet.
- Workshop registrants: the take-home documents from a workshop becoming available.
Most day-to-day updates, such as new messages, arrive by email instead. See Email notifications for messages.
Turn bell categories on or off
- Click Account in the sidebar.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Scroll to In-app notifications.
- Flip a switch off to stop that kind of notification entirely.
Not every role has bell categories to manage. If you do not see an In-app notifications section, there is nothing to switch off for your role.
Good to know
- The bell and email are separate channels. For submissions, operators can keep the bell on while switching the email off, or the other way round.
- The count shows up to 99 and then reads "99+".
- Notifications belong to your account, so you see the same feed whichever workspace you are in.
FAQ
Why is my bell empty?
Many accounts simply have nothing that uses the bell yet. Messages and most alerts come by email. Check Account then Notifications to see which channels you have on.
Can I get the bell on my phone?
The bell is part of the app, so it works in your phone's browser too. It does not send push notifications to your phone.
