How to remove or withdraw a submitted property
Changed your mind about a property? Use the trash can on its row in Submissions. What happens next depends on whether a finder is already working it, and Zi-Find decides that at the moment you confirm, so you always get the right outcome.
How to remove a submission
- Open Submissions and the View submissions tab.
- Find the property and click the trash can at the end of its row.
- Read the dialog. It tells you exactly what will happen to this property.
- Click the confirm button to go ahead, or close the dialog to keep it.
The three outcomes
Delete. If no finder has claimed the property, the dialog reads "Delete this submission?". Nothing is lost by deleting it: it is removed for good and leaves the finder network at the same time.
Withdraw. If a finder is already working it, or it has already been out with the finder network, the dialog reads "Withdraw this property?". It disappears from your list and from the finder network right away, and the finders working on it are told. We keep the record itself, because it is the evidence behind work that was already done. You cannot undo a withdrawal from the app; submit the property again if you change your mind.
Has to be sorted out with us. If a finder has already delivered a property against this request, removing it yourself is not possible, because there may be a fee owed on it and the record is the evidence behind that. Sign in and open Help, or use the chat bubble in the bottom corner, and we will close it out properly.
Good to know
- The decision is made when you click confirm, not when the dialog opened. If a finder claims the property in between, it is withdrawn rather than deleted.
- Removing a submission does not cancel your subscription or change your plan.
- If you want to stop a search because you already signed a lease elsewhere, withdrawing is the courteous option: the finders working it hear about it straight away.
Do I get the search back if I remove a property?
The dialog tells you what happens for that specific property. Searches given back automatically are the ones that could not be accepted in the first place.
