Submitting a property to the Paid by Zi-Find board

3 min read · Updated 2026-10-19

The board is where Zi-Find pays a posted, flat rate for each sublease-approved property that clears review. Open Opportunities and choose the Paid by Zi-Find lane. You pick a market, find a property that matches what operators there are asking for, get the owner's approval in writing, and send it in. The rate is posted per market before you start and locked the moment you submit.

What you see

  • Markets — only markets with real operator requests behind them appear. Each card shows the rate per property here, the number of open requests, and how many properties are funded this month (or Fully committed this month). Some show High demand; some are marked Certified finders.
  • What they are searching for — open a market to see each request as a set of filters (beds, rent, property type and so on).
  • Your allowance, your performance read-out and your submissions with their status, further down the lane.

Who can submit

Anyone can see the markets and their rates. Submitting needs a board seat, which is not part of Free, Finder Pro or Finder Pro+. Without one, the lane shows what a seat includes and a Book a strategy call button. Seats are not sold through self-serve checkout right now; they are set up on that short call, where we walk you through it.

You are never in contact with an operator on the board. The property lists under the owner's details and any subscriber can reach them.

Credits

A seat comes with a monthly allowance of contribution credits, shown as "X of Y this month".

  • Sending a property in spends one credit.
  • Working a request you already sent something in for this month costs nothing more.
  • The monthly allowance resets and does not carry over. Top-up credits stay until you use them.
  • Everything that can be refused for free is checked before a credit is spent.

Submit a property

  1. Open a market and press Submit a property for this on the request your property matches.
  2. Type the address. Two checks run straight away, free:
    • Already paid for? — checked against every address the board has paid for.
    • Already submitted by you? — checked against your own submissions. If either shows Blocked, the button reads Can't send this one. Nothing has been spent or sent.
  3. Answer the four gate questions with Yes or Not yet: permission in writing, names short-term specifically, the city allows it at this address, documented before signing. "Not yet" never stops you — it tells you which gate the property is most likely to come back on. See What counts as written sublease approval.
  4. Fill in unit, city, state, beds, baths, rent and property type, and choose how the approval came in: Email from the owner, Signed form, Text message, In person or Other.
  5. Enter the owner's name, best email and best phone — the ones they actually answer. Both email and phone are required, and they can't be your own.
  6. Attach the signed approval (PDF or photo).
  7. Press Send it in.

What happens next

Nothing clears on its own. A Zi-Find reviewer contacts the owner, checks each gate, and decides. Your submission moves through Submitted, Verifying, then Cleared (and Listed), or Did not clear. Either way it comes back gate by gate. See Board feedback and getting paid.

Good to know

  • The rate is flat and is not tied to a lease being signed. It is never a commission.
  • If a market's rate changes while you wait, you are paid the rate posted when you submitted.
  • If the board can't load, it says so and offers Try again — that is never shown as "no markets".

Can I submit a property I already listed?

Yes. If you were sent here with Send to the board instead, the form opens with that listing's details filled in; add the owner's contact and the approval.
